New Software Focuses on Simplifying

 Intelligent Wireless Sensor Network Implementations

( Irwin, PA )   IntelliSensor (ISS), is about to release its latest configuration and data management software specifically for “intelligent wireless sensor networks” (iWSNs) focusing on facility monitoring, environmental conditions and remote facility security. The wireless networks are based on the emerging technology of “motes” very-small computers and radios married to sensors with wireless capability that can gather operational data from locations not possible before.

“Intelligent sensors are distinctly different from wireless or wired sensors now in use,” stated John Voytko, president of ISM. “These machine to machine (M2M) devices have a level of autonomy and computing power at the sensor ‘nodes’ allowing them to pre-process data gathered by the sensor. They can analyze and intelligently filter sensor data and transmit only relevant data to the host computer.  Without this distributed intelligence at the sensor nodes, central management systems run the real risk of becoming overwhelmed with irrelevant information as these networks become large.”

Dirk Kalp, Chief Technology Officer, added “ By using our software, sensors/motes in the mesh network can be easily reconfigured and re-tasked using a user friendly interface thereby reducing implementation costs and shortening deployment timeframes.  Previously, WSNs required a team of custom programmers to implement and deploy.”

ISM’s first software application is for temperature gradient profiling in irregularly shaped facilities giving more information to the HVAC installers.

“Based on our 22 years in software development, we know that this is a software AND services company,” offered Michael Pochan, the Chief Marketing Officer. “ Just software is not enough. We simplify the deployment of intelligent WSN’s by educating our customers on the technology, analyzing their business processes and implementing the technologies with them.”

“Often a pilot project is the best way to introduce and demonstrate this new technology within an organization.  Our software and practical implementation experience helps get these initial projects off the ground quickly so our clients can rapidly assess the impact on their business processes,” stated Alex Miskov, the Chief Operating Officer of ISM.
